Dr Manuel Buchmüller advises and represents clients in domestic and cross-border disputes, with a focus on construction arbitration. In addition, he frequently advises on pharmaceutical and post-M&A disputes, as well as cryptocurrency-related matters.
Manuel Buchmüller has extensive expertise in complex technical arbitrations particularly in international plant construction projects governed by FIDIC contracts. His practice also extends to the banking, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors. Complementing his counsel work, he serves as administrative secretary to arbitral tribunals providing essential support in managing proceedings.
Beyond arbitral proceedings, he is well-versed in litigation and state court proceedings, particularly in matters of the recognition and enforcement of awards, including interim measures.
Manuel Buchmüller studied law at the Universities of Freiburg, Budapest (ELTE), and Pisa, earning a doctorate with a thesis exploring the intersection of unfair competition law, consumer behaviour research, and neuropsychology. He is bilingual in German and Hungarian and fluent in English and Italian.
