Manuel Gyarmati-Buchmüller advises and represents clients in domestic and cross-border legal proceedings. He is primarily involved in disputes related to (plant) construction and shipbuilding as well as in post-M&A litigation.

Manuel Gyarmati-Buchmüller studied law at the Universities of Freiburg, Budapest (ELTE) and Pisa. He attained a doctoral degree for his work on the interfaces between unfair competition law, consumer behaviour research and neuropsychology. Manuel Gyarmati-Buchmüller is bilingual in German and Hungarian, fluent in English and Italian, and speaks French as well as Portuguese at an advanced level. During his studies, Manuel Gyarmati-Buchmüller completed traineeships at a boutique law firm advising on German and Hungarian legal matters as well as a leading commercial law firm in Italy.

Manuel Gyarmati-Buchmüller’s main area of practice concerns arbitrations involving complex technical issues. In particular, he has represented international companies from the plant construction and shipbuilding sectors. In this respect, he possesses comprehensive expertise in relation to FIDIC contracts. Dr Gyarmati-Buchmüller’s practice also focuses upon post-M&A disputes as well as litigious proceedings before state courts.
